DaVita is proud to celebrate 60 of its incredible nephrology nurses who have been honored with the DAISY Award. The award is part of the DAISY Foundation's mission to recognize nurses who provide compassionate care to patients and families every day.
Each recipient answered a unique call to be a nephrology nurse – a vocation that requires specialized training to provide life-sustaining care to people managing kidney health across the country. A nephrology nurse acts as a trusted partner in each patient’s care journey by overseeing treatment from start to finish, providing education about kidney disease, medication and transplantation. Nurses also often serve as a liaison between a patient and their physician.
In the last year, nurses went above and beyond to help keep each other and every patient safe and informed throughout the pandemic. For their tireless dedication, compassion and driven purpose to make a positive impact in each patient’s life, DaVita is honored to present its DAISY Award winners:
